If it runs as good as it looks in pictures, that's not a bad price.
It really depends on how well the mechanical has been maintained. Has it had regular oil changes and lube, valve adjustments, cam chain adjustments, drive chain, brakes, forks, etc.? Does it charge? It needs to make 14.4v at the battery at 3000 rpm, or there's money to spend. Stuff like that can change a "good deal" real quickly on these old bikes. |

Thanks for the help. I bought the bike for a little cheaper. Needs some carb work. I plan on removing them and taking a look (maybe rebuild) them this weekend. Wish me luck! |

Luck!
But be sure to DL and read the carb rebuild book linked in my sig, for good info.
Also read please put your bike model in your sig. The NMT explains how, andc has other good info for the forum and these bikes.
We also can host pictures now with the new forum software. They go on as attachments, tool is at the bottom of the "post a reply" frame on the post reply page. |

Thanks. I have been reading through the carb rebuild book. I don't feel comfortable removing the carbs from the rails at my skill level (just yet). Is that essential? |
