Hello all,

I got a very well kept 1980 CB750C in Black (pictures soon).

As far as I could tell I'll need to adjust the rear brake, the clutch and the choke. Then I'll know if I need to do anything.

Anything I should worry about?

Could some of you point me to a checklist?

This is not my fist bike but I know every model has it's own tricks.

Thanks in advance

Adi[/b]

Nice and clean Adi .

Please re size all your pics to 640 x 480 . Thanks . Smile

And , maybe its just the camera , but that front tire looks like it needs to be replaced very soon . Looks like its cupped . The trailing edges seem lower than the leading edges toward the sides .

Nice bike.

That could be also a front fork that needs seals/oil/air, a brake disc that's warped or bad front bearings. I think its the forks.

Very nice - I like the black. Mine's a kind of shiny poop brown and when the snow flies, its getting painted.

The guy said he drove it underinflated for a while. could it be the cause?

That's very possible . I would check all the suggested causes while I had the wheel off , just to be sure .

Never short yourself when your safety is involved .

Congrats Adi

I got one for Fathers Day / Birthday. I got a 1982 CB900C blue 11k miles. Looks about a year old. Only flaw-paint chip underside of tank.

I wanted a 750, but I could not believe how comfortable, easy to ride and that it fit my short frame. Decent price, but no steal.

How do I keep all that chrome nice?

Every time I wax my bike (which is every second or third time I wash the bike) I also wax my chrome; except for the exhaust that is. And stay away for SOS pads, they will just scratch it up over time.
If you have any chrome bits that are looking bad then just go look on eBay. There is always fenders, signals, subtrans cover and airbox covers on there for cheap. The hardest and most expensive thing to find will be a 4 into 4 exhaust in great shape.

Yea. Only extremely gay people have the luck in finding NOS ones for $450 CDN.
