Hi all, hailing out of Ireland. I've a 1979 cb750kz cafe. Plenty of mods. Rebore, mikuni RS 34's, optical ignition timing, straight through pipe, alloy tank, battery relocation (under swing arm), motogadget unit, custom led (everything I think), carbon fiber bits and pieces (seat and battery tray) then the usual stainless steel everything else.
I started on bikes with a 99 thundercat and kinda just acquired 2 more bikes, the Honda and an 83 xj900. I know I've 2 Yamahas for the one Honda but really the Honda's my favourite, read: money pit.
My build is about finished but I'm here for a bit of help. I took the rear wheel off years ago and have forgotten correct fitment/ spacer sides. I've the hub spacer (machined fit on sprocket side) and two normal spacers. One longer than the other. No matter how I attach the spacers the chain appears offset. It's also a really tight fit in swingarm and the axle doesn't appear long enough.  I had all the bits taking it apart so I am left scratching my head how it all goes together. Also don't take the piss to much, I know this shouldn't be the most difficult part. still there is something about falling at the last hurdle. I don't have my Haynes manual nearby and I'm about to get a nap before a night shift. Tomorrow is another day.
I like beer, rugby and mechanics. Also tools, specifically the German kind that come in wraps.

I had a look through the parts fiche already cmsnl is a great site. Rear brake panel part 2 42313-393-000, collar rr rear wheel part 7 42311-392-000 and sleeve rr axle part 8 42605-393-000. The spacer against the machined spacer looks wrong. I've the axle, adjuster, spacer, hub, spacer axle adjuster and nut. |
