Have just become the owner of an 82 cb750c and found here while looking up tips so said I'd sign up.
This is my first bike although I've always been around and driven them from a young age.
Bike was my grandfather's and he had it for god knows how many years and was always kept immaculate but got a bit run down the last few years as he never really drove it anymore. Only ever taken for a spin when my brother or I called over. Overall It's in fairly good shape for an 82 and only 40000km on it. With my limited knowledge and help from this forum my plan is to try and tidy it up and have it looking and running nice again(sort of a half a restoration). He adored the bike so i dont want to change anything about it other than tidy it up. Some day when funds allow I'll do a full restoration. Will try find some pics, currently in several pieces in the shed to allow for easier access to everything.
Sorry about the long winded first post. Look forward to sharing my journey with you all and hopefully learn something along the way. |
