So many new engine/bike acronyms for me to learn now, what is VC.... doubt it would be Valve Cover cuz that would be too simple. |

Yeah, I was planning on doing it when the weather gets warmer to check and adjust the valves & cam chains before riding it and inspect a few other things but why stress just pulling the Valve Cover as one of the things that needs to be 1st thing on the check list... not that I'm opposed to it, just curious  Does something not look quite right in that pic I posted ?

Pulling VC is needed to adjust the valves and happens to be the best way to insure and aid in the cam chain adjustments .
Look for cracks in the adjuster and guide friction surfaces for both "A" and "B" chains . You'll have to look closely down the tunnel . |

AND put a rag in the cam chain tunnel (chunnel) as soon as the cover is off. There is no pain quite like dropping a bolt or nut down there.  |

Geat tip, wouldn't have thought of it till it was too late! I think I'm catching on to why so many people think of their bikes as females now. |
