at the risk of picking a scab, why is that racist? i said nothing derogitory, and it was meant to be humorous. we all jab canada, california, and i run my own state up all the time...... you gonna deny there are cubans in florida? mexicans in california, rednecks in montana.....get off my back!! i live in this world too. nobody is gonna tell me anything new about racism, if that is your point. come on up and live in robbieworld for a while. |

I've been close enough to there. My hometown is 30 miles from the MT state line. Beautiful countryside there. On a side note: Used to go to Baker on the booze cruises to heckle our Montanan counterparts. Probably not the most intelligent thing I've ever done. |

what i was refering to was the comment made about me being a racist and a bigot. i live in a world where white supremists hate everyone else, native americans hate everyone else, environmentalists hating loggers [got that first hand] and vice versa, people born and raised here who hate anyone from out of state, out-of-staters who hate the locals, and it wasnt that long ago we had norwegians hating irish, irish hating chineese, cattle ranchers hating sheep ranchers hating farmers.......montana is a state full of people who cant or dont want to get along with anyone else...that is why they came here in the first place. we haven't nailed any gays to fence posts like they did in wyoming, but we did just have a couple rednecks threaten some asian mushroom pickers just last week up in the kalispell area. i know what racism is. believe me, i am not racist...i hate people based on nothing other than their own merits. that tends to give me plenty to work with. got any 'Ted Kozinskis' in florida? |

I didn't call anyone anything... that was Kris and I'm not exactly sure that he wasn't making a dry joke.
Bah, internet and it's lack of context for humor. |

I'd tell you in a funny way, but inevitably it would be taken the wrong way.
Edit: As I am terribly poor at figuring out how to put my particular humor into print. |

Okay, everyone settle down. Too much hate in the world to go around. We come here to escape all that shit. 8)
No Ted Kaczynski, but we had a Ted Bundy...repeat with emphasis on "had." FSU students went to Starke Prison, FL(home of Sparky) and "tailgated" at the gate during his execution. |

Hey, we ALL had Bundy. He started in Seattle when I lived there, 'worked' his way to and through Colorado and then finally to your sultry climes. We can just about all claim him.
What a great country!!

I'm oddly fine with this. Seeing as it it a two way street. Seems like every state has a tradition of poking fun at its surrounding states.
My Uncle used to say that No.Dak was so windy because Montana blows and Minnesota sucks.
I guess you could insert any two states in there that you wanted. |
