Greetings, I'm Owen, from Western Washington (born an raised). Great forum! I currently own an 81 CB 750 K that I've been tinkering with, trying to get it running right, so I'm looking forward to diving in and learning as much as I can here.

My first bike was a CB 350, back in the late seventies, then I bought and rode a CB 550 Four across the U.S. of A. in 1984, (Seattle to New York, and virtually no freeways.) It was a little under-powered with me and all of my camping gear (I was a svelte 155 lbs. back in the day) but otherwise made the trip just fine; an adventure I'll never forget! I did quite a bit if wrenching on both those bikes but haven't done any between then and just about a year ago when I acquired the 750.

Anyway, I had a question about using silicone liquid gasket on my pods...

No! Just kidding, just kidding! (dodges flying wrenches and stuff)

Anyways, good to be here, and thanks for all of the great info.

- Owen

The green wire hanging by the flasher unit under the left side cover doesn't go to anything. Frank named it "the where does this wire go?" wire. Laughing

I am not certain about recently but I know Gene has at least talked with Frank after he went to Goldwings.

Good man he is.

I spoke with Frank yesterday, actually. He doesn't spend time on bike forums anymore, but is quite busy and in good health and spirits. And he's full of it as he ever was. Very Happy
