Newbie From CT!!

I think I kinda jumped the gun by posting a question B/4 introducing myself. I picked up a mint 83 CB1000 Custom with a starter clutch problem for pennies on the dollar. I also own a 2003 Yammy Royal Star Venture which I truly enjoy with my wife. I consider myself a pretty good wrench but I've never worked on these inline 4's so I figired I'd look into your forum. I've alredy picked up a huge amount of info just in the few minutes that I've been on. I think once I get this little Honda straightened out, I'm going to enjoy it, especially around town. Brian

I bought my bike and stumbled on to these guys and let me tell you it's the best reference you could ever have. Since then I've installed 900 cams and a wolf header thanks smokes and tackled a ton of problems and have my bike pretty much sorted out except for a gremlin that just popped up. Before this bike the most I've ever worked on anything was changing oil and I once replaces a heater core on my ranger. These guys are patient and explain things super well and if you don't understand they give out there phone numbers so you can call them. I can't say enough about these guys. My bike and I thank them. enjoy the site and you'll have that bike sorted in no time.

My first suggested mod is stick a sponge in your head to soak up all the info and experience you have stumbled upon on this site. The fellowship and helpfulness of this site is the stuff of legends. There is NOTHING these guys can't solve, try them, they are truly amazing. I used to call my 750F a ratbike, but with the knowledge and motivation from here, it has become a baby rocket. Still smokes a lot, but thats due to my finances, nothing else. The general improvement to my bike has been 200%. You can learn, you can just hang out and chat, whatever man, its like having your local biker pub filled with DOHC Honda boffins Smile

You may find it hard to stay off the 1000. It is smooooth as silk and will run a hole in the wind. 95 mph all day long and never break a sweat.

Welcome aboard, I usually read all the posts and soak it up like a sponge but when I need something these guys are always there willing to help out.

THANX to everybody who chimed in. I'm sure I'll get to appreciate you guys after a while. I already do! Lottsa good tips!! These bikes are beautiful and I can't wait to put some miles on it.
