Hello,

I own a 1977 CB400F but I am looking to get a bigger bike. I am thinking about getting the bike below (see link) but I am not sure of the exact model. It may be a K.

http://boston.craigslist.org/sob/mcy/650903475.html

Can someone tell me what model this is?
If you think its a good eal for 1500 bucks?
Anything else?

I have always ridden bikes but never worked on them and I am hoping to start. I no longer travel with work, I have a house and I am ready to learn.

Any advice would be helpful and thanks for having me!!

Tim

Welcome to the site Tim ... Smile

that's a clean looking bike . I'm thinking it might be a bit over priced , but ...

The add didn't say that price was written in stone , did it ?

Thanks,

I sure do being I have owned and built some special bikes from two of them.
1979 CB750K Standard
They have an good 150mph speedo that actually tells you how fast you are going unlike the newer model 80 & up K-Models that only went 85mph.
That bike is friggin beautiful and I really like it a lot.

Just wondering....was there much of a difference between the '79 K and the '79 L (10th anniversary version)? I know the sidecover badging was different but those seem to be missing....
