Hey guys, it's nice to finally find a place to turn to for all my CB custom questions. My name is Chris, I'm a freelance writer and part-time motorcycle tinkerer. I used to be the service advisor for a Harley-Kawasaki-Aprilia-Audi dealership back home in Hawaii, before moving to TN.

I recently acquired a '80 750c and an '81 650c. Both bikes have around 5500 miles but are barn-fresh and need quite a bit of love to get back to good order. While I'm keeping the 750 more-or-less stock, I'm not much for the original classic cruiser styling of the Custom models. I'll be changing the 650 up a bit, thinking a cross between good ol' cafe meets road racer meets hot rod meets..... you get the picture.

Well, enough about me. Thanks for letting me play too!

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! Hopefully I'll get to know you all as these bikes reawaken. Taurus, thanks for the info! I've already signed up there too.

Image HUA and welcome!! Download the specific FSM for your bike. Check out and READ the links in my signature, use the SEARCH then ask away ... lot of guys here can field strip one of these bikes at night, in their sleep, blindfolded, with one hand tightly holding a beer ... Right Frank!!

I am riding an '82 900C with just over 31,000 miles. Check out the links in SeanG, genesound, holysmokes, and pd750 postings for additional information.

A another new member. My name is Russ and I have just purchased a 1979 750. Model K, I think. The learning curve is very steep just now. Un fortunately I just received my new factory service manual in the mail which cost me $50. Wish I'd found this forum sooner. Looking forward to learning how to bring this project bike to life.

Welcome to here Russ.

I have the real Honda Factory Shop Manuals for each of my DOHC bikes, and I haven't ever regretted having them. It's much easier to flip a few pages and find what I want in the books than in the pdfs, even with dual 23" monitors and a fast computer.

And I pretty much know those darned books and pdfs frontwards and backwards too. Wink
