Hi eveyone, just happened upon this site while googling for parts, and thought I would join right away instead of lurking on the outside looking in.
We've got so much snow right now, some might wonder how anyone can be thinking about bikes, but I'm sure that all you like minded people know all about it.
Just this past Sept. I bought a 1983 CB 750C and only managed to get in a month or so of riding before having to put her away.
This is my first bike in 21 yrs. and didn't realize how much I missed it. My last bike was the CB1100f which I had for a couple years and absolutely loved. But after such a long time time of not riding, I thought that I would start back on something smaller (not to mention insurance rates)
After riding for a couple weeks, to get used to it again, I convinced my wife to come for a ride, after the initial nervousness, she has also fallen in love with riding again.
Looking forward to sharing info, stories as well as some laughs with the members on here. Dan |

Welcome to DOHC Customs.
That 750's inadequate power is going to wear on your patience in no time.
Get another CB1100F, they rock and you know it. 8) |

Thanks for the welcome guys, Like you holysmokes, beleaf it or not, lifetime leafs fan. Looking forward to spending quality time on this site.
I have been checking it out, and have found valuable info already.
Apparently I won't be finding a backrest here so I think I will have a buddy make 1. If it turns out decent maybe I can talk him into mass producing them for others in the same situation. |

Welcome to the site! it's a shame about the leafs thing though well i guess we all make mistakes. I didn't even know how an engine worked before Buying my 750 project and joining this site a year ago. Now I don't hesitate to rip into it all thanks to the knowledge and heplfullness of the guys on this site. For never meeting anyone on this site they never hesitate to offer tips and advice that you'll never find in any book, manual or website (besides this one). Enjoy your time here and make sure you don't take these guys to seriously unless of course they are talking about pod airfilters |

John wouldn't lead a goose to the crapper, just not his nature to foment revolution unless it was against the city's parking enforcement. I blame Pierre.......it's always the quiet ones you have to watch....

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I can tell that this will definitely be a fun and interesting site.
As for the Habs, I have never and will never cheer for them , but can understand why some might this year.
Now the Oilers, I did root for them at 1 time only because Steve Smith and I grew up in the same town and used to frequent the local pool hall in our younger days. If anyone sees him remind him that he still owes me $30
I do miss the sheer power of my old 1100, but as I get older speed doesn't hold the same fasination that it used to, especially now that I realize that I'm not immortal. (but I once was) lol |
