Well, I am another refugee from the F site, but for the record I had my 1000C before I got my 900F. My bike was bought new by my father in 1983 in Crystal Lake Ill, he had traded his 78 K model for it. I remember it clearly because I rode home on the back. My Dad gave up riding in 94 and gave the bike to me and I've had it ever since. Genesound has seen the bike personally as he has visited me once to pick up some shocks. I also recognize a few other members here as well. I used to live practically next door to nu2honda when I was up in Monterey. Anyway, It's good to see this site up and running as I know there were some problems with the site berfore.

Cool, I'd be glad to have ya, or maybe I can ride up to Rays place? I've never met him in person yet, just on the phone and email.

Hey Eric, thanks for coming by. You ever get a nice set of matching 1000C side covers?

Thanks for the welcome Ray and Gene.

I did find a new cover, in fact, I just found it tonight. I think I overpaid for it but I hope to offset that by selling the spare I bought earlier this year. It wasn't a matching color - well under the flat black paint it seemed to be, but that wasn't good enough. The new one is a perfect match though. At any rate, I need to sell this spare one before my wife takes my balls with a rusty knife. They won't do her any good, but then they won't de me any good that way either, so I better come up with some money right quick-like if you know what I mean.

Glad you finally found the real deal side cover Eric. Dad would be proud. That's a nice bike.

I hope you replaced the grommets, I figure you did. Wink

Cool, yup, I'm Long_av8r on a couple of sites. I would have kept 8andcounting if I had realized there were so many F'rs on there. Here's a photo of my 1000C for all those that haven't seen it. This was taken when I was up in Monterey.
