Hi first post, first I will apologize for my crappy typing ,,(swede)
I bought an Honda cb750k -79 chopper,
been looking for wiring diagrams but most of them have the new R/R not the older TLIZ-38

it will not charge the battery, have checked Alternator rotor,(4.6ohm) stator,(no ground )replaced the brushes, it has a silicone rectifier and a TLIZ-38 volt regulator,
all wires are connected with terminal strip connectors,, which makes it
kind of exiting,he,,he,,
the wires I have some issues(can be more) with are the 2 that comes from the rotor brushes,, or is it called field coli!!! negative ground(black) and positive,(white/gray) in my case,
the white/grey should go to the TLIZ-38 volt regulator centre (white label ) connector
(green) is ground...and if I'm not totally wrong the (black) should go to start switch/key,, that leaves me with the black negative ground cable,,
should it be attached to frame or (-) on battery or elsewhere
I can't post any image so ill try to write down my wiring ,,not sure it make any sense but i'll give it a shot,,,,

TLIZ-38 rectifier stator
Yellow -------- yellow
yellow ------- yellow
yellow--------- yellow
red------------------------ starter solenoid ( not via battery
maybe it should
(G)green --- green (frame)
centre white -------------------- white/gray
Black ----------------------------------------key switch and up to start

Black (negative ground) ?
tried frame ground

this gives me crazy readings at my voltmeter no stable voltage jumps from 13 up to 15 and above ,,well,, all kind of crazy readings,, and noticed that front turn signal flickered when I increase throttle,, hmm maybe ground issues

have seen that the TLIZ-38 is adjustable ,,but I got to know if the wiring is correct first before I start to fiddle with it,,,
as you can tell it's not that easy to find what's wrong when someone else maybe the builder of the bike long time ago did the wiring ,, and I'm no electrician,,
so if someone have any info of how the wires should be connected It would be
very very help full,

Black is always hot from the keyswitch on a Honda. Green is always ground.

See if this helps:
